People Have Visited The Pit

Technology Pit

The void is not filled, and the pit is bottomless. Trapped within is the remnants of many lost technologies and ideas. The door is one-way, and the key lies on the desk nearby. Unlock the door, and unlock many possibilities and new ways of thinking. Leave it closed, and walk the narrow-minded path unleashed upon us by groups such as Big Blue and Microsoft. The rules must be broken, seek the unknown...

Welcome, and enjoy your stay, I know that the stay will probably be cut short due to the fact that I don't have everything underway yet, but things are starting to get there. The layout of the pages have been redesigned so that things should be easier to work with and the style is still basic and functional.

Sorry about the extreme delay, but I have gotten to a public beta stage on CMU 1.x for Mac. A couple things are missing, primarily JPEG support, Bezier Curves (considered obsolete in 1.5), and Triangles. CMU 2.x is in public beta as well with focus on dealing with the engine and learning, while CMU 1.x will start taking focus on Vector-based graphics, which may include basic 3D engines. This will teach more towards dealing with interfaces, drawing methods, and how to handle objects. Expect to see this focus in v1.5, coming later on.

Some rather interesting news. I have added an internet game tracker onto the site using Perl. Since tripod can handle Perl 5, I was able to create a script. If I could get a server with slightly better bandwidth for the script. Things would be very nice.

Sorry about the lateness of CMU v1.5, but things have come up in classes, etc. that needed my attention first. However, for those programmers out there that could use a C++ lib to help out in balancing out the deficiencies of the ANSI C++ libs out there, then check this out.

I have posted up the betas to CMU Graphics Package v2.0.1, these are unstable and I cannot guarantee that everything will work yet, but things apparently are progressing.

I have added in a new page for the Core Interpreter Language. Core is being designed to be similar to Java, and hopefully provide a common interface for game mods in the future.

Well, the page is updated using a new style which will remain constant this time. Things should run smoothly and efficiently from now on. The banners have been moved within the page to help things along and just make it easier on the user. Have fun!

I will hopefully be having the betas for CMU v2.x posted up. These are undocumented betas and are not fully complete. Due to their unstable nature, I may not even have them posted. Stay tuned.

I must apologize about the link to v1.2.1 of the CMU Package I posted earlier. It is a non-working copy and has been removed. Hopefully this will be rectified with the release of v1.2.2
